I am a bit embarrassed when I say “I am solely a musician!” As I mentioned before, I am also a shopping mall model. Moreover, I am not qualified to introduce myself as a musician. However, Music have been being always my first priority.

Q. Hello! Could you introduce yourself briefly?
Hi there. I am a 20-year-old singer Lee Haeri.

Q. Besides Musical activity, you have been worked in many different fields. How do you think about yourself? 
I am a bit embarrassed when I say “I am solely a musician!”. As I mentioned before, I am also a shopping mall model. Moreover, I am not qualified to introduce myself as a musician. However, Music have been being always my first priority. 

Q. When did you start to take and upload videos on the internet and what made you do that?
When I was a high school sophomore, I took a video and upload it on a humor community. Unexpectedly, the response was hot. Therefore, I kept uploading that kind of videos. One day, I uploaded my “Jessie J’s Flashlight” cover video. And the response was magnificent. :) After that, increasingly, I have gotten love from listeners and they recognized me as a person who sings. For me it is a very happy thing. Because of my greed, Sometimes, I record or take videos at a studio with my own money.

Q. Have you ever learnt music professionally?
Yes. Actually when I was young, around 10 years old, I learned it for a short time. And from middle school sophomore to high school senior, I had learned music to enter university. However, I changed my mind to not to enter university and came to Seoul. Now, I am striving in various entertainment activities.

Q. When you make cover videos, how do you choose songs and practice? 
Frankly speaking, I try to choose what I like, but it could be too subjective, so I can’t ignore the trend. Therefore, I usually choose trendy songs that fit my taste  After I choose a song, I only listen the song for somedays and practice a lot with empathy. In foreign songs case, I have to practice more because of language and pronounciation. Sometimes, some people who watched my videos asked me “Have you ever studied abroad?” because my pronounciation is quite good. It makes me happy.  However, I just want people to know that all of my videos are came from my harsh practice.

Q. I see. Then what is the most memorable moment for this harsh practicing singer, Haeri?
When my video got 150,000 “Like”, and when I met Jess Glynne and Charlie Puth. I can’t forget the moment.

Q. Then, When was the harshest and best moment for you?
If people enjoy my videos, that just makes me happy. However, the more I get attention, the more people swear me. Last time, I got a bad reply from a person who watched my “Flashlight” cover video with a fake account. The reply said, “Korean’s vocalization is much different from western’s. Why do you sing? Stop doing it”. At that moment, I resented.

Q. Who is your favorite artist?
Jessie J!! From vocalization to performance on the stage, I can learn a lot from her. I do my best to follow those.

Q. Do you have anything want to do besides music?
Actually, I have a lot, but If I had to choose one, I would say “I want to run a fashion shopping mall.” Because I am interested in fashion a lot, escpeically underwear. (Shy)

Q. What is your next stop as a singer?
Making a debut as a singer in Korea. Frankly speaking, steadily, I have gotten album suggestions, but most of them are idol suggestions. However, I will show off my competence as a solo vocalist. I wish I get a good opportunity.

Q. Do you have any plan or anything want to say at the conclusion?
I have run my YouTube channel for a month and I have gotten around 2000 subscribers. I will raise this page and make people in abroad know myself! I will keep doing my best!! I ask you to give me steady attention and love me. Thank you!!
